Complete Pond Clean Outs
This service includes removing your fish and draining your pond completely. The fish go in a holding tank
with water from your pond and aeration. Then
we remove any potted plants and/or structures from the
bottom and begin removing debris and 95% of the sludge that has built up on the sides and bottom.
We
leave the algae film that has developed on your pond sides as this is beneficial to restarting the system.
Once this is complete
we do any other cleaning which is necessary such as leaf removal from a stream
etc. Sometimes if your stream-waterfall is very dirty
we'll clean them before draining the pond but after
removing your fish.
We do a pump-skimmer cleaning and check any lighting you may have for adjustment.
We then fill the pond using a water meter so we know the exact pond volume for future reference. While the
pond fills
we clean the biological filter and trim/transplant plants you have in and around your pond and
adjust any rocks that have become loose. As the pond fills
we add a chemical to eliminate any chlorine
before it affects the bacteria still in the pond.
We start adding any potted plants back into the pond. We
restart the system. Once the pond is full
we check the temperature and if it’s within 5 degrees of the
temporary fish holding tank
we can add the fish back into their home. If the temperature is off more than 5
degrees
we acclimate the fish by adding pond water to there tank slowly over about thirty minutes
depending on the temperature. Once the fish are back  home
we do a walk around to make sure
everything is looking good and tidy.

Maintenance Plans: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly
In a weekly plan the saying "All you do is feed the fish." truly applies. We come out, test your water, trim
your plants, clean the filters, check over your fish, and do anything else that needs to be done to keep
everything running smoothly. In the monthly and quarterly plans
we do the same things just not as often. It
comes down to what you, the customer, wants, your budget, and what you need done.
